The sport watch market has seen a major spike in the last two years, with the average value of a sports watch rising from $6,000 in 2016 to $12,500 in 2018, according to the watch industry trade group.
It is estimated that sports watches will reach $1.7 trillion by 2025.
The biggest sports watch brands in the world have already set new records.
Nike announced its “Sports King” line of smartwatches last month, including a new version of the Nike+ smartwatch that boasts a GPS and motion tracking feature, along with the ability to charge the device via Bluetooth and other connectivity options.
Apple and Samsung have also released new models of their smartwalls.
The Nike+ Smartwatch and Apple Watch Series 3 are both set to hit shelves later this year, while Samsung has also released a new Gear S3 smartwatch.
Nike has also announced its new Sports King 5, which includes a GPS, an accelerometer, heart rate monitor, gyroscope, and more.
It will be available on August 15.
It is expected that Nike+ will be the most popular sports watch by 2025, with sales reaching $2 trillion.
The smartwatch market has grown by over 3,000 percent over the last three years, according the watch group.
The trend will continue in 2019, according experts.
The watch industry’s top brands are expected to see sales of their watches increase by $5 billion, according research firm Gartner.
“The smartwatch revolution is here to stay,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple.
“We are now entering a period of accelerated growth for sports watches, as consumers are moving away from physical wearables to the smartwatch.”

Nike+ $6,500 Nikes’ Nike+ sport watch was first unveiled at CES in 2018.
It featured an aluminum case with a black leather strap and a circular dial.
It has a 12-inch screen that has a resolution of 1080p and a resolution range of 2560 to 4K.
It also sports a GPS that will track steps, distance, pace, and calories burned.
Nike+ 6,800 Nearsports.com reports that the Nike Sport Watch will be offered with a 5,000mAh battery, which will allow it to keep up with the demands of the athlete during training.
Nike’s new Smartwatch has a larger display than the previous version, but is only 5 inches in size.
It comes in black and silver with a circular display, which Nike has called “the perfect balance of form and function.”
Nike says that the new Nike+ Sports King smartwatch is “the most advanced smartwatch on the market.”
Nitsports.net reports that Nike has launched a new Nike Sport watch with a GPS to track workouts, as well as a heart rate sensor.
Nike says the watch is a “premium product.”
